Brand refresh

Draculas

Draculas were one of our favourite clients during my time working at Zoo Advertising, Melbourne. They approached us looking for a brand refresh and a new website. I was lucky enough to art direct the entire project including the photo/video shoot and brand refresh across all print and digital collateral including brochures, business cards, animated HTML banners and a complete redesign of their website, bringing it screaming into today!

Rock Posters

Australian director, editor and graphic designer, Josh Logue and I worked in tandem to create these rock posters that could be seen all over Melbourne and the Gold Coast, from street walls to large format billboards and the backs of buses.

We wanted to create something pretty dramatic, for people to really get a feel for how epic the show is. We went for a grainy old school movie aesthetic with influence from Tarantino's 2007 American horror film, Grindhouse. Then, of course, added the likes of lasers and fire for that extra theatrical injection!

A much needed update for Draculas' digital presence

The intention of the brand refresh was to really show off the personalities of the cast, from their sassy humour and monster vocals to their jaw-dropping acrobatics and seductive dance moves. We conducted a photoshoot to try to capture as much of this character as possible. The photographs of the cast then became the perfect way to tell their story and take the user on a journey as they navigated through the website.

I then built a number of animated HTML5 digital banners for the launch which we continuously maintained and updated, depending on which shows were coming up and which advertising campaigns we were running for Draculas.
